Ameer, a 14-year-old male from Saudi Arabia, is afflicted with the sequela of brain injury. In April 2010, he unfortunately encountered a car accident. A head CT at that time showed epidural hematoma in the bilateral temporal and frontal areas.
He was admitted to our hospital mainly due to the poor flexibility of his left limbs. The treatment marks an important step in his journey towards potential recovery.
Symptom | Improvement |
Intact logic & reasoning | Enhanced information processing |
Adequate comprehension | Marked memory improvement |
Functional but slow articulation | Normalized speech rate |
Reduced left limb flexibility | Restored flexibility (improved ADLs) |
Independent ambulation with limping | Normal gait (no residual limping) |
Ameer's current progress is highly encouraging, indicating a bright future ahead. With his cognitive, memory, speech, limb flexibility, and gait improvements, continuous development is expected.
In the future, his cognitive skills may further enhance, enabling him to engage in more complex learning and social interactions. These progress will gradually lead him back to a full-fledged, normal life.
